‘Evil Eye Baby’ Now Moody Pre-Schooler

By Shawna Collier

Pre-school classmates never know which little boy will show up each day.

(BOSTON) The ‘Evil Eye Baby’ of Youtube fame started pre-school this month and has his classmates on edge.

Little Derek Reece, 3, famed for giving an ‘evil eye’—which he’ll occasionally call his ‘evil look’—now gives it to his classmates, whether friend and foe.

“You never know where you stand with Derek,” 3-year-old Shantavianess Jefferson told The Peoples News. “Sometimes he’ll be smiling, eating an ice-cream cone, the next minute, he’s glaring at you.”

Derek, say his teachers, has a penchant for giving his evil look at times when no one expects it.

“The worst part is his laugh,” said Gladys Minor. “He cuts his eyes at you and then just laughs like a maniac.”

Nonetheless, Derek is doing great in school. He has already learned to count to 100, can rattle off the seven days of the week and knows all the colors in a rainbow, including the very difficult to pronounce indigo.

“Overall, he’s a really nice kid,” Minor said. “He’s much friendlier than his little classmate, Charlie, who we think has started acting out because Derek is getting more attention than him now. Every day, someone is coming up to me crying ‘Charlie bit me!’ It’s a real problem.”
