TPN‘s Trifling Couple of the Week

Heath and Deborah Campbell

Here’s a tip for you would-be parents out there: You can never go right naming your son Adolf Hitler. But Heath and Deborah thought it would be cute, and they gave his sisters Nazi-inspired names too. Heath says he’s not racist, and well, Heath, that’s not the problem. The problem is that you’re trifling. New Jersey child welfare people think so too—they took away little Adolf and his siblings this week. It wasn’t because of the names, said an official. I suspect it was because, in the long run, it’s better if children aren’t raised by fools.

Perhaps ‘Idi’ or ‘Farrakan’ would have been doubly delicious!

Stupid names? Sure. But when we allow the government to start taking kids away from what their agency determines to be “unfit parents” we better all lock the doors at night eh?

Now let’s see, maybe my next son will be named…….Barrack? No, Jesse still rules…..

…or, maybe we need a committee of three blacks…

Perfect choice. They may or may not be fit parents, but there’s no doubt they’re trifling.

  5. It’s really unfortunate for the children and the stigma which will be attached to them for the rest of their lives.
